Standing Committee on
Judicial Ethics
Purpose:
This committee is comprised of 12 attorney members appointed by the State Bar of
Nevada; 12 lay members appointed by the Governor of Nevada; and, 6 judges
appointed by the Nevada Supreme Court. The committee was created to
provide judges and aspirants to judicial office advisory opinions regarding
ethical matters that may arise in the ordinary course of judicial service or in
the elective or appointment process.
