GARY VAUSE, Owner, Lit’l Scholar Child Care Pre-Schools and Kindergartens, Vice Chairman

Gary Vause, a native of Las Vegas, is a graduate of the University of Utah. He owns Lit’l Scholar Child Care Pre-Schools and Kindergartens in Las Vegas. He is a partner in the Aztec Inn Casino.

He is active in many community organizations, including Keystone, Las Vegas Rotary, Las Vegas High School Alumni Association (class of ‘56), Boys’ Club and is a life member and Past President of the Las Vegas Jaycees.

His professional affiliations include serving as Past President of the Child Care Association of Nevada, Past President of the Clark County Child Care Association, Past Vice President of the National Child Care Association.

Mr. Vause is a former trustee of the Las Vegas City Centre Development Corporation and was an organizer and board member of a Nevada community bank; City of Las Vegas Child Care Licensing Board, Chairman; Citizens for Private Enterprise, Chairman; Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, Director.

Currently, he serves as Director of the National Child Care Association representing the State of Nevada; Member of the Nevada Judicial Discipline Commission; and Nevada Policy Research Institute Director.

Mr. Vause was appointed to the Commission in 2009. His term expires on January 3, 2013.
