MARY LAU, President & CEO, Retail Association of Nevada

Mary Lau has served as the president and chief Executive officer of the Retail Association of Nevada since 1987. She initially served on the board of the Association in 1983 as the secretary/treasurer.

Prior to joining the Association, Ms. Lau held the position of controller for a Lake Tahoe casino.

Over her many years in Nevada, Ms. Lau has served on various state advisory boards and is currently the public member on the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy. She presently serves as a board member for several Nevada corporations including the Nevada Retail Network Self-Insured Group, and West Shield, Inc., a non-profit organization.

Mary Lau is a supporter of various charitable organizations to which she personally contributes her time and financial support.

Ms. Lau is a graduate of Sierra Nevada College.

Ms. Lau was appointed as an alternate member to the Commission in 2010 and was appointed to member status as of February 10, 2011. Her term expires on January 3, 2013.
