Patricia Calton was
raised in Wells, Nevada,
and graduated from Wells
High School. She has
worked in the Wells
Justice and Municipal
Courts for the past 30
years, having been the
court clerk for 21
years. She began serving
in her current judicial
position in January 2001
as Justice of the Peace
and appointed Municipal
Court Judge.
Judge
Calton has been married
for 37 years and is the
mother a grown son and
daughter who also reside
in Elko County.
Judge
Calton is currently a
representative on the
Judicial Counsel of the
State of Nevada (JCSN)
for the North Central
Region. She is the
treasurer for the Nevada
Judges of Limited
Jurisdiction. She is a
member of the NJLJ
executive board and
serves on the NJLJ
education committee. She
has also been appointed
to the new JCSN
Education Funding
Sub-Committee.
Judge
Calton was appointed to
the Commission by the
Nevada Supreme Court on
September 12, 2007; she
was reappointed in
January 2011. Her
current term expires on
January 5, 2015.
