RODNEY T. BURR,

Judge
Burr is Justice of the
Peace for the Clark
County Justice Court,
Henderson Township. He
was elected in 1990 and
is currently serving his
third term. Judge Burr
previously served as a
Deputy District Attorney
for the Clark County
District Attorney’s
Office. His
career-related
activities include: Past
President, Nevada
Judge’s Association;
consultant and member,
Urban Court Workload
Assessment Committee
(Rose Commission), and
regional representative,
DUI Assessment Center
Committee.
He
currently serves as
President of the
Henderson Chamber of
Commerce. Judge Burr is
a past recipient of the
Judge of the Year award
by the Nevada Conference
of Police & Sheriff’s.
He is a member of the
American Judges
Association, and Clark
County Bar Association.
He attended UNLV and
received his BA in 1983.
He received his Juris
Doctorate from the
University of the
Pacific, McGeorge School
of Law in 1986. Judge
Burr and his wife,
Annette, have four
children and two grand
children. He has been a
Southern Nevada resident
since 1964.
Judge
Burr was appointed to
the Commission by the
Nevada Supreme Court on
March 1, 2007. He was
reappointed in January
2011. His
current term expires on
January 5, 2015.
